1. Facilitate the accumulation and interchange of practical knowledge among members.

2. Encourage the development of the art of manufacturing and the distribution of ice.

3. Create a standard of excellence in manufacturing and distribution of packaged ice products.

4. Arrange and provide for advertising products of its members to the general public.

5. Serve as a mechanism to gather data and issue bulletins of promotional and/or technical character.

6. Exercise a corrective influence on the quality of the products to the end that association standards are maintained.

7. Secure efficient cooperation with associated industries, the government and agencies thereof as related to the packaged ice industry.
